It all began when Dr. Bill Burkhart was treating patients in his family medicine practice years ago. After observing what a laser machine could do for a patient’s skin condition, he was amazed and excited about all the new possibilities of changing patients’ lives.

Shortly after implementing aesthetic procedures at his own practice, he was able to treat a patient referred to him by a dermatologist.

Upon discovering laser treatments could achieve results that a dermatologist couldn’t, he wanted to do more. From that moment on, he noticed that patients who received aesthetics treatments from him began to take better care of their whole health. He enjoyed watching and being a part of their overall health transformation. Having enjoyed twelve years in the aesthetics industry, Monica is highly skilled in performing aesthetic procedures. As a Registered Nurse, with plastic surgery experience, she has excelled in precision injections for the past four years. Continuing education and furthering her professional expertise is a priority for Monica in her pursuit to provide her patients with the safest, highest-quality, and most up-to-date techniques available. She enjoys educating her patients throughout the process, from consult to treatment and recovery, explaining why she recommends one option over another, ensuring that the patient has a thorough understanding of the medical procedure, and how to continue their skin care after they leave the office. Monica loves that aesthetics is a blend of science and art, and that fillers allow her to create lights and shadows in patients’ faces. She believes that every face is unique, and that each individual’s treatment should be tailored to them, enhancing one’s own natural beauty.

A licensed aesthetician for 18 years, Emily’s passion is helping people achieve their skin care goals. She loves seeing someone’s confidence change when Stellar is able to resolve any skin imperfections that they may have been struggling with. Providing additional home-care knowledge to her clients is also a priority so that the client may continue seeing those results at home. In addition , Emily is passionate about continuing her own education. Aesthetics is fast-paced, and keeping up with the latest technology, trends, and skin care products to make sure her clients are given exceptional service is a must. She has always known from the time she was a little girl playing in makeup that she wanted to help people be the best version of themselves.

Sarah Proffitt

Licensed Aesthetician

Sarah Proffitt has worked in the field of aesthetics for over 10 years. Originally, her goal was to pursue a career in makeup artistry, but she quickly realized her interest and true passion took her to the ever-evolving science of skincare. She is eager to provide effective skincare solutions using Stellar's state-of-the-art technology.

Sarah’s clients describe her techniques as "relaxing and rejuvenating" and her own former struggle with hormonal acne has provided her with the experience to compassionately treat breakouts. She understands that the world of skincare can be overwhelming with the wide variety of products and services available. However, the connection Sarah has with her clients fosters a relationship that goes beyond skincare and becomes a bond of trust with those she serves.

Karen has over 30 years of experience in medical administration and patient relations. At Stellar Medical Aesthetics, Karen’s main responsibility is communication between our patients, our providers and company owners. She makes sure that all parties are well informed about the needs of any patient and is available to discuss services, handle scheduling and coordination, take administrative questions, etc. The relationships with our patients is very important at Stellar Medical Aesthetics and Karen is an integral part to ensuring a quality experience at our practice.
